Last Update: February 08, 2023
I do a lot of equity-centered work for the University of California and UCSD community (particularly mentorship), so I’ve highlighted a few major projects that I’m especially proud of, and have impacted the community by providing systemic support/policies for student retention.

2020-2021 (260h):

  • Proposed addition of “rotation flexibility” language to BioSci grad handbook based on 2018-2020 rotation-matching data to Dean Pogliano.

  • Developed and piloted the graduate student outreach focus team CAPS4GAPS in collaboration with Student Health Services.

  • Organized the first annual UCSD Into the Dark March for suicide awareness.

2021-2022 (500h):

  • Established the emergency psychological co-response program (Triton CORE) in collaboration with CAPS, Case Management, and Student Affairs.

  • Lead the campus-wide Return to Learn Campus Student Transitions Task Force, presented policy recommendations to Council of Governance.

  • Founded the Bullying & Harassment Advocacy Committee, charged with developing a trauma-informed grievance process and resources for students with Title-IX-exempt distress.

  • Co-Founded the Safe Campus Resource Center under Environmental Health & Safety.

2022-2023 (90+h):

  • Wrote the initial white paper and charter for a UCSD Police Accountability Board, serving as student advisor.

  • Actively supporting students in distress, primarily in thesis-work settings across campus

  • Revising and presenting the “Allyship in STEM” workshop for Biology Graduate Success Symposium.
